Why choose Sublime Book Review?

Finding the right reviews for the right budget can be hard for an Indie or self-published author. And in many cases, you unknowingly pay for a review that is 100% guaranteed positive. While it’s nice for a reviewer to tell you your book is “the greatest book ever written,” this doesn’t necessarily help you, the author, and it certainly doesn’t help the industry leaders (librarians, booksellers, media professionals) make calculated decisions about purchasing your book or requesting your title for their library.

Miranda Quinn returns in this second novel featuring the witty and charming lawyer. Her life has turned around with a new late-night radio show and a new husband. But an obsessed and frightening listener throws a curveball at her as his threats become increasingly dangerous. At the same time, the son of her best friend finds himself in legal trouble, and a family member faces a terrifying medical issue. Miranda has to hold everything together while making tough decisions about her future.

Ms. Olmsted delivers another humorous, absorbing, and thrilling read in this sequel to Miranda Writes. Her strong-willed protagonist is a character everyone can love, and she’s surrounded by an excellent supporting cast. The high quality of the writing allows the reader to seamlessly engage with the action and the characters, while the subplots are deftly woven together, not allowing a moment for the storyline to slow down. Despite being the second novel in the Miranda series, this could easily be read as a standalone. However, both novels are highly recommended, and it would be worthwhile to get your hands on them to enjoy a series that will stand out as a favorite. Hopefully, we’ll be hearing from Miranda again soon.

Sublime Line: “Five stars for Gail Olmsted’s highly entertaining return of Miranda Quinn – another winner.”
