Why choose Sublime Book Review?

Finding the right reviews for the right budget can be hard for an Indie or self-published author. And in many cases, you unknowingly pay for a review that is 100% guaranteed positive. While it’s nice for a reviewer to tell you your book is “the greatest book ever written,” this doesn’t necessarily help you, the author, and it certainly doesn’t help the industry leaders (librarians, booksellers, media professionals) make calculated decisions about purchasing your book or requesting your title for their library.

Written by Sasha Lauren, Final Lullaby is a sentimental literary fiction novel that confronts difficult topics within a beautifully composed love story between two people – Angela and Tucker. Their story began when bookstore/coffee shop owner and support line volunteer Angela met Tucker, a charming blues musician, and was quickly swept off her feet into a world of adventure and promise. However, their lives changed drastically when life-altering circumstances sent many more challenges their way.

Final Lullaby is more than a love story. Given the sensitive nature of the topics that arise throughout the novel, Lauren offers a powerful blend of darkness and hope. By drawing on poetic storytelling techniques, her words bring to life an emotive narrative full of characters that you can't help but feel for. The love between Angela and Tucker remains unfaltering despite their struggles. However, the perfection of their romance made me feel it may be more realistic to see some conflict within their relationship, given the circumstances. I would recommend this book to a reader who seeks a novel with depth in characters that will engage your emotions to the end. The author also includes a trigger warning at the beginning of the novel, which is important to acknowledge due to conversations of suicide and the right-to-die. The novel is tied up fittingly, offering cautious optimism to the readers.

Sublime Line: “Sasha Lauren evokes empathy and inspires hope as she navigates the complexity of difficult topics through the powerful love story of Angela and Tucker.”
